1. GENERAL - SPECIAL INSPECTIONS: The submitted Special Inspections Certificate "Spl. Insp. Cert. Initial - Woodspring Suites-2023-10-03_v1.pdf" is currently missing a signature by the owner or owner's representative under "Part A: Owner's Acknowledgement and Certification". Per the City of Tucson, Part A is required to be signed prior to issuing a building permit. Please resubmit this form with the required signature.

2. S0.0 - GEOTECHNICAL REPORT: The allowable bearing pressure listed on the Structural General Notes does not appear to match the recommendations in the submitted geotechnical report. The amended report dated June 30, 2023 provides an improved allowable bearing pressure of 3,000 psf to be used for foundations below the elevator shaft, bearing 5 to 10 feet below grade. However, the typical allowable bearing pressure prescribed in the original Report 17-02720 dated September 20, 2017 varies from 2,000 to 2,500 psf for continuous and isolated spread footings (Section 6.2, pg. 7 of 47). These typical values were not adjusted in the more recent report and are thus understood to control in the design of typical foundation conditions. Please update the general notes AND the structural calculation package to reflect these minimum values or provide a revised geotechnical report.

3. S0.0 - COMPONENTS & CLADDING WIND PRESSURE: Pressure values listed in the Structural General Notes under Components and Cladding Wind Pressures do not appear to match the values in the structural calculation package, pages A24 and A25 of 31. Please clarify how these values were calculated and adjust the values on the Structural General Notes if required.
