Sheet G1 shows use classification as “storage group ‘S’” however states that occupancy load is not applicable. Provide exception section per 2018 International Building Code (IBC) such determination. Be specific in the type of storage group accordance with 2018 IBC section 311 which requires that all structures (or parts thereof) designed or occupied for the storage of moderate- and low-hazard materials are to be classified either Group S-1 (moderate hazard) or S-2 (low hazard). Furthermore, “Parking garages, open or enclosed” is listed in section 311.3 Low-hazard storage, Group S-2. “Motor vehicle repair garage…” is listed as Group S-1. 2018 IBC section 1004 determines occupant load for means of egress requirements and “Parking garages” listed in Table 1004.5 with occupant load factor of 200 gross. Is this a “Private garages” which is listed in 2018 IBC section 312 utility and miscellaneous group U? Use/intent of this facility should be clearly stated. Is it for a business like car repair shop, rented out garage space, etc.? Or is it a private individual garage? 4. Sheet G1 – Provide building code analysis compliance with 2018 International Building Code such as occupancy classification (Is it S-2?), building height, building area, and building type (Is it V-B)? Clarify specific occupant use requirements (associated building review comment 3). 5. Sheet G1 – What are the scopes of fire sprinkler system (NFPA 13) and fire alarm system (NFPA 72)?
