When the solar panels are removed off the existing roof, a building permit shall be required to reinstall the solar system onto the newly installed roof covering. The system must comply to the current adopted building codes such as installation of rapid shut down equipment should this be absent with the current solar system (rapid shutdown requirements of NEC 690.12, 690.56(C)). 2. Building permit to install a new roof covering on existing roof containing a solar system (TC-COM-0126-00137), the existing solar system reinstall building permit must be issued prior to the roof covering permit being approved. 3. Please resubmit. |
