COMMENTS:

1. Show that the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer comply with the construction and efficiency requirements of Sections C403.12.2 and C403.12.2.1, IECC 2024.
2. The drawings show return air taken from the kitchen area by HP-1 being recirculated and supplied to the office and restrooms. In accordance with Footnote (b) of Table 403.3.1.1, air from commercial kitchen spaces shall not be recirculated to other occupancies or spaces. Please revise the design as necessary to demonstrate compliance and update the plans accordingly. Reference: Table 403.3.1.1, Footnote (b), IMC 2024.
3. Please revise the ventilation calculation table (Sheet M3.0). The storage, wash area, cooking, and drive-through areas shall be classified as kitchen (cooking) areas due to recirculated air from HP-1 originating from the kitchen space. Please verify that the correct square footage, occupant density, cfm/person, and cfm/ft² values are provided based on Table 403.3.1.1. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2024.

COMMENTS:

1. Hand sinks in the kitchen area are allowed to connect to the sanitary waste system instead of the grease waste system only if each sink has a sign posted above it stating, “HANDWASH SINK ONLY! NO FOOD PREPARATION OR DISHWASHING ALLOWED.” Please provide signage at both hand sink locations indicating that the sinks are to be used for handwashing only. Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2024, as amended by the City of Tucson.
2. Floor sinks in the kitchen areas shall discharge through a grease interceptor. Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2024, as amended by the City of Tucson.
3. Please verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2024

-If using bulk CO2 for beverage dispensing (system >100lbs CO2), a CO2 gas detection alarm will be required per IFC 5307.

1. The replacement, relocation and installation of new lighting fixtures requires compliance with the City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code.
2. Provide an outdoor site lighting plan that meets the requirements of OLC 104.2. Show/locate the different light sources on your site plan, both new and existing. Number the light fixtures on your lighting fixture table and use the same number on your site plan.
3. List the Lighting Area per OLC (typically E3) chapter 3 and used in Table 401.1. Specify the compliance option from Table 401.1 that is being used. Total outdoor light output shall not exceed the lumen limits listed in Table 401.1.
4. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 104.2.1, 401.2. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations. List shielded and unshielded lights in the calculation.
5. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4.
6. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
7. Provide the manufacturer’s specification sheets for the outdoor lighting fixtures. Include the lumen and color temperature values for each outdoor fixture type.
8. Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2.
