Smoke barriers required for passive smoke control and a smoke control system using the pressurization method shall comply with Section 709 of the International Building Code. The maximum allowable leakage area shall be the aggregate area calculated using the following leakage area ratios: 1.Walls: A/Aw = 0.00100 2.Interior exit stairways and ramps and exit passageways: A/Aw = 0.00035 3.Enclosed exit access stairways and ramps and all other shafts: A/Aw = 0.00150 4.Floors and roofs: A/AF = 0.00050 where: A=Total leakage area, square feet (m2). AF=Unit floor or roof area of barrier, square feet (m2). Aw=Unit wall area of barrier, square feet (m2). The leakage area ratios shown do not include openings created by gaps around doors and operable windows. The total leakage area of the smoke barrier shall be determined in accordance with Section 513.5.1 and tested in accordance with Section 513.5.2. Provide response indicating intended methods used to verify compliance with this section. DMA
11. Sheet m1.3, 2018 IMC [F] 513.5.3.2 Ducts and air transfer openings. Ducts and air transfer openings are required to be protected with a minimum Class II, 250ºF (121ºC) smoke damper complying with the International Building Code. DMA

14. Sheet p3.1, 2018 IBC [F] 427.1 General. Medical gases at health care-related facilities intended for patients shall comply with Sections 427.2 through 427.2.3 in addition to requirements of Chapter 53 of the International Fire Code. DMA
15. Sheet p3.1, 2018 IBC [F] 427.2 Interior supply location. Medical gases shall be located in areas dedicated to the storage of such gases without other storage or uses. Where containers of medical gases in quantities greater than the permitted amount are located inside the buildings, they shall be located in a 1-hour exterior room, 1-hour interior room or a gas cabinet in accordance with Section 427.2.1, 427.2.2 or 427.2.3, respectively. Rooms or areas where medical gases are stored or used in quantities exceeding the maximum allowable quantity per control area as set forth in Tables 307.1(1) and 307.1(2) shall be in accordance with Group H occupancies. Provide a detailed floor plan for storage rooms that coordinates with interior elevations of containers and clearly demonstrates compliance this section ensuring the design provides for dedicated storage for containers. NOTE: Provide quantities for Fire review, Fire Plan Review is NOT within the scope of this review. DMA

1. Fixtures installed under canopies and overhangs. Outdoor lighting fixtures shall not be counted in determining the total light output when they are full cutoff light fixtures installed under canopies, building overhangs, or roof eaves, OLC 401.2.1(3).
2. Provide an outdoor lighting plan that meets the requirements of OLC 104.2. Show/locate the different light sources on your site plan. Number the light fixtures on your table and use the same number on your site plan
3. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 3.1.2. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
4. Show compliance with total outdoor light output per 2012 City of Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code section 401.2. Total outdoor light output shall not exceed the lumen limits listed in Table 401.1. 4. E1.1 – Lighting Code section 104.2.2.
5. Submit catalogue or specification sheets of all proposed new outdoor lighting fixtures illustrating the type of fixture, color temperature, lumens rating and whether full cut-off or unshielded.

6. Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2.

7. Specify any exceptions used.

8. Provide Curfew lighting controls If applicable Per section 403.

This site is located in PAD-16 (UDC 4.7.24). Medical Service- Outpatient is an allowed use in the PAD.

1. Zoning has reviewed the building plans for compliance with development package TD-DEV-1224-00336 and although it appears that the plans are in mostly in compliance, until the comment below is addressed Zoning cannot approve the building plans.

2. The Architectural Site plan shows additional short-term bicycle parking that is not shown on TD-DEV-1224-00336. Also, detail 16 sheet x.1.4 does not match detail 8 sheet c6.2 of the DP. Until the plans match Zoning cannot approve these building permits.
