(General) Please update the title blocks of all sheets to include the date signed by the Architect of record on the seal. 2. Sheet A1.1 (Life Safety Plan). Note on the drawings that that all alterations shall be done in a manner that maintains the level of fire protection (2018 IEBC Sec. 703.1). 3. Sheet A1.1 (Life Safety Plan). Clarify that the exit door shown to the right of the proposed recruiting asst. area has enough door clearance to be considered an exit. The angled wall appears to cut the clearance in such a way that the minimum width may not be possible. Show the minimum accessible floor clearance on the plans. (ICC A117.1- 2009 Figure 404.2.3.2). 4. Sheet A2.0 (Floor Plan). The Floor plan Key Note 11 indicates a 12” raised platform for the command center area. Provide construction details for this platform and provide information on the step up or ramp that will be needed. 5. Sheet A3.0 (Reflected Ceiling Plan). The RCP general notes indicate a security system will be installed by the tenant. Clarify if this will be part of this permit or if a separate permit will be submitted. IF the low voltage work is part of this permit, provide details for its installation on the electrical plans. 6. Sheet A4.0 (Finish Schedule). Indicate on the Room Finish Schedule that all interior finishes will be in accordance with 2018 IBC Sec. 803.1. Indicate the location of all “night lighting” on the plans for egress illumination or indicate light sensors will be used. All rooms and usable floor surfaces in a building shall be equipped with artificial lighting and shall be illuminated at all times that the space is occupied. (2018 IBC Section 1008.2). 2. Sheet E2.1 (Lighting Plan). Indicate additional EM lighting (headlamps or other type) in the renovated Reception/ Waiting Area and by the new Collab Area where the walls were modified. Verify that the corridor outside of Offices 301, 302 and 303 has sufficient EM lighting and if not add an additional fixture in this location. (2018 IBC Section 1008.3). 3. Sheet E2.1 (Lighting Plan). Verify that the exit lighting is still sufficient after the wall modifications, it appears that the Collab Area may no longer make sense. Modify as needed. (2018 IBC Section 1013.1). 4. Sheet E2.1 (Lighting Plan). Indicate the lighting will be controlled by occupancy sensors. Occupancy sensors are required for all areas that were modified as part of the renovation. (2018 IECC C405.2.1 and C503.6). |
