08/05/2024 Commercial Mechanical REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Revise the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fans so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted (i.e. all of the air supplied to each restroom is to be exhausted during the hours of operation even if the lights are off). The exhausted air from the restrooms shall be limited to no more than 10% of any subsequent supply air stream. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018
2. The occupant load used to calculate the required ventilation is not necessarily the same as the occupant load used for calculating exiting requirements. The occupant load used for calculating the minimum required ventilation is to be based on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 or an approved engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018.
08/05/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Provide a design and structural calculations for mounting the water heater and shelf to the building structure. Reference: Section 301.2, IPC 2018.
2. The specified sewage ejector (grinder pump) is listed for residential use. Provide a lift station that is listed for commercial use. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2018.
3. Provide metering faucets for the lavatories, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the faucet cycle will last longer than 10-seconds. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
4. The use of a water dispenser in lieu of a drinking fountain requires the installation of a listed and labeled dispenser along with a permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser. The cup dispenser shall be located adjacent to the water dispenser with the dispensing end between 34” and 48” above the finished floor. 5. Provide tempered water for the public restroom lavatories using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018.
6. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018.
7. Horizontal branches shall connect no closer than ten diameters downstream of the bases of vertical stacks (i.e. the 3” waste down from the main floor). Reference: Section 704.3, IPC 2018.
8. Provide a complete design for the lift station, including pumps, basin, valves, venting, alarms, and connection of the discharge pipe to the public sewer. Reference: Section 712, IPC 2018.
