Evaporative coolers with AC units requires submittal of a heating/cooling load calculation to justify the capacities of the units being installed. In addition, structural calculations may be required if the units are located on a roof. Ventilation calculations will be required, and an air balance report is required to verify that the total supply airflow and the outside airflow actually provide the ventilation determined by the calculations.
