The photographs submitted show 2 outdated and non-Code compliant electrical service installations for multifamily buildings. It is obvious why the equipment is failing. The gutter type wireways used to enclose the service entrance conductors are not rated or designed for outdoor use or to be exposed to weather (NEMA 3R) NEC art 110.3(A),(B) and (C). It appears that several of the 12 service disconnect switches have already been replaced, probably because of water damage, and the others are not rated (NEMA 3R) for outdoor use and exposed to weather. This equipment will continue to fail leaving occupants with unexpected power outages happening at random occasions. The wireways above the service disconnects will continue to allow rain or other liquid to enter and contaminate the internal parts of the electrical equipment. 2. The electrical services shown in the photographs is outdated and in need of complete upgrading to a safe and code compliant installation. Provide complete electrical plans, calculations, designed and sealed by a Registrant registered in the State of Arizona, and resubmit for plan review and permitting.
