| 06/12/2026 | Commercial Electrical Express | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Commercial Electrical Review TC-COM-0626-00876 (502 W LAGUNA ST TUCSON, AZ 85705) Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2024 International Building Code (IBC), 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). Contact Jeremy Hamblin with any questions: Jeremy.hamblin@tucsonaz.gov >>> Following comments were not addressed in previous permit submittals. 1. Two parallel 500 XHHW AL conductors are not rated for 800 A. Maximum overcurrent protection and service rating for 500 XHHW AL conductors is 600A. If 800A service is feeding these conductors without appropriate over current protection, this would lead to overheated and burnt conductors. 2. There is an unpermitted structure that has been build in front of the service equipment. Please verify and show that the unpermitted structure is not violating the clear working space required by the electrical panels/equipment, 2017 NEC 110.26(A) 3. The existing equipment, CTCan & raceway gutter, must be evaluated and certified as rated for the environment it is in and still maintaining it’s wet environment protection of the conductors, 408.2, 408.37, 312.2, 314.15. If the equipment is allowing moisture intrusion, then it must be replaced. 4. The existing equipment must be inspected and protected against corrosion and deterioration per NEC 300.6. If this equipment is compromised it must be replaced. |
