1. The submitted plans indicate that the existing damaged masonry wall supporting the masonry wall above is to be removed and the supporting masonry wall is to be replaced with wood posts. Please provide complete structural design, drawings, details, and calculations prepared by the registered design professional demonstrating that the proposed wood post system is capable of supporting all applicable dead, live, wind, and seismic loads previously carried by the masonry wall.
Revise the plans to clearly identify:
A. The size, species, grade, and spacing of the proposed wood posts.
B. The size and material of all beams, headers, and other framing members supporting the wall above.
C. Complete footing and foundation details, including dimensions, reinforcement, and bearing capacity.
D. Post-to-beam and post-to-foundation connection details, including all required connectors and fasteners.
E. Details showing how gravity and lateral loads are transferred into the existing structure.
F. Temporary shoring and sequencing, if required to safely remove the existing load-bearing wall.

Provide sufficient details to demonstrate compliance with the applicable structural provisions of the 2024 IBC. The construction documents shall clearly indicate the nature and extent of the work and include all information necessary to verify code compliance. IBC Sections 107.2.1 and 107.2.1.1.
