| 12/16/2025 | Commercial Mechanical Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | ACTIVITY NO. TC-COM-0625-01165 ADDRESS/PARCEL: (1340 W AJO WY TUCSON, AZ 85713) Submit your revised drawings along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Building Review Section comments were addressed. Review will not proceed without the response letter. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. COMMENTS: 1. Please provide a complete set of sheets, not just the mechanical sheet. Reference 2018 IBC, section 107.2.1 2. Please correct the square footages used in the HVAC Outdoor Air Requirements and update the corresponding outdoor air calculations. The 4,411 sq ft (Showroom) and 4,371 sq ft (Storage) currently listed do not match the values shown in the Code Analysis on Sheet T2.0 from your previous submission. 3. The values (CFM, cooling capacity, etc.) in the equipment schedule do not align with the heating and cooling load calculations. Please correct or clarify. a. Additionally, the spec sheet previously submitted for RTU #YSK120A3S0L does not match the values listed in the equipment schedule either. 4. The weight of the unit listed in the equipment schedule is 1,350 lbs, but the previously submitted spec sheet shows 1,084 lbs. Please clarify. The old units were 1,070 lbs, so if the new units are indeed 1,350 lbs, please provide documentation demonstrating that the additional weight can be supported. 5. Why do RTU 1 and RTU 2 have different values in the design section of the heating and cooling calculations when the equipment schedule shows both units as the same? Please clarify. 6. Based on the minimum outdoor air required, the minimum 970 CFM of outdoor air for each unit does not meet the outdoor air required by code. Please revise the outdoor air calculations or update the equipment schedule to specify the amount of ventilation air each unit is designed to supply to meet the minimum code-required ventilation. (The design outdoor air is listed as 1,200 CFM on the attached air balance reports.) |
