10/17/2024 Bldg Permits - Post Review PENDING ASSIGNMENT
10/17/2024 Commercial Mechanical REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Keynote 2/M2 calls for the smoke detector to be located “down stream from filters.” Smoke detectors shall be installed in the return air duct, upstream of any outside air connections. [Second comment: Smoke detectors shall be located upstream of the filters.] [Initial comment: Smoke detectors shall be installed in the return air duct, upstream of any outside air connections, for all air distribution systems moving than 2,000 CFM (See keynote 2, Sheet M2). Reference: Section 606.2.1, IMC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson.]

10/17/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. The drawing does not call for the gas service pressure to be increased to 2 PSIG and does not show the installation of a pressure regulator downstream of the gas meter and set to deliver an appropriate gas pressure to the gas distribution system. [Second comment: The minimum gas pressure for the specified fryers is 7” H2O. Southwest Gas, the local gas utility, provides natural gas at 7” WG, 2 PSIG, and 5 PSIG. Appliances needing gas service at 7” WG or greater will require a gas meter that delivers at least 2 PSIG gas into a regulator located after the meter set. The total new demand, based on the gas isometric is 540 CFH, not 556 CFH. Reference: Section 402.1, IFGC 2018.] [Initial comment: New gas-fired cooking appliances are scheduled for installation under the Type I hood. Show how the complete natural gas piping system will be modified. Provide a natural gas piping design, including the piping layout on a floor plan and a natural gas schematic showing the sizes, loads and developed lengths of the piping. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.]
