1. GENERAL - UPDATES: For project updates, please submit sheets with all changes clearly marked in revision clouds. Please provide a written response to each comment; updates without a clear response to all comments may not be
reviewed. If you have any questions regarding the comments, you may contact me directly. Updates may result in additional comments.

2. S002 - CURRENT CODE: The currently adopted building code for the City of Tucson is the 2018 International Building Code. Please update the Special Inspection Notes on Sheet S002 to reflect with this code. Refer to Notes 6 & 8 for examples.

3. S002 - CONCRETE LAP LENGTHS: Under "Reinforced Concrete Notes" on Sheet S002, Notes 30 and 32 refer to the ACI 318 for typical concrete lap lengths (splice and development). Because lap lengths are contingent upon multiple factors (ie. yield strength, concrete compressive strength), engineer of record shall provide a schedule applicable to this project.

4. S102 - MISSING INFORMATION: On Site Plan S102, Grid P.C, "Foundation @ Magnetic Gate" and "Foundation at Smart Signage" are called out without any dimensions. Accompanying details 9/S200 and 7/S200 indicate that the
foundation element length and width shall be "per plan". Please provide the missing foundation element dimensions.

5. S130 - CONFLICTING INFORMATION: Exterior Elevation 2/S130 appears to conflict with Architectural Exterior Elevation 4/A200 at Gridline 2.4. Please revise the elevation to show Window "W4" per the Architectural drawings.

6. S130 - MISSING INFORMATION: Exterior Elevations 2 & 4/S130 show multiple openings in the load-bearing CMU wall with no indicators for lintel reinforcement. The CMU Lintel Schedule, 8A/S300, specifically states that it shall only apply to non-load bearing walls. Please indicate how typical window, door and louver openings shall be reinforced in exterior load-bearing conditions.

7. S201 - CONFLICTING INFORMATION: Typical Details 7 & 8 provide reinforcement recommendations for openings in foundation plans that directly conflicts with the general notes. Refer to Sheet S002, "Reinforced Concrete Notes", Note 33 for more information. Please confirm which note controls and revise.

07/10/2024 Water - PDSD REQUIRES RESUBMIT Clarify the location of the proposed backflow preventer required to protect the municipal water distribution system from the new carwash facility. The utility drawing in the development package (C5.0) shows the backflow preventer located adjacent to the water meter, not within the carwash building as shown on P200. Reduced pressure backflow prevention assemblies are required to be installed in locations accessible to Tucson Water and directly after the water meter for buildings that have chemicals, cleaning agents, or other contaminants that may come in direct contact with water.
