I applaud you and I appreciate your diligently responding to all of my list of previous comments.
1. SHEET A-1
a. Site Plan
i. Accessible route cannot be on the drive aisle. Please show the actual route location using striping similar to the stripes adjacent to the handicap stalls.
b. Code section:
i. Please remove the Avondale Amendment reference and replace with City of Tucson.
ii. Enter the maximum exit access travel distance allowed by code for this use occupancy.
2. Sheet A-2
a. Egress Plan
i. At the point of exit, shown are the number of occupants exiting through, the exit width provided and the required exit width calculation.
ii. Please add the distance traveled from the most extreme point all the way to the exit.
b. Door 5 and 14
i. These doors do not comply to the minimum width required for a handicap accessible clear width of 32 inches.
ii. Please install a sign directing occupants to other exits that do comply to the required handicap accessible width of 32 inches.
3. NEW HOOD
a. Please provide hood structural calculations and detail drawings.
b. The drawings for the permit structure TC-COM-0925-01745 indicates: “Sign company to provide footing/foundation detail information such as dimension of footing, steel plates used, anchors used and their location, rebars used, etc.”
4. LIGHTING: Please provide lighting information on the Electrical Plan and Reflected Ceiling Plan complying to the following.
a. LIGHTING - PER ARIZONA FOOD CODE, ARIZONA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, TITLE 9, CHAPTER 8,
b. SECTION 6-303.11, PHYSICAL FACILITIES, THE LIGHTING INTENSITY SHALL BE:
i. AT LEAST 108 LUX (10 FOOT CANDLES) AT A DISTANCE OF 75 CM (30 ABOVE THE FLOOR, IN WALK-IN REFRIGERATION UNITS AND DRY FOOD STORAGE AREAS AND IN OTHER AREAS AND ROOMS DURING PERIODS OF CLEANING;
ii. AT LEAST 220 LUX (20 FOOT CANDLES):
1. AT A SURFACE WHERE FOOD IS PROVIDED FOR CONSUMER SELF-SERVICE SUCH AS BUFFETS AND SALAD BARS OR WHERE FRESH PRODUCE OR PACKAGED FOODS ARE SOLD OR OFFERED FOR CONSUMPTION,
2. INSIDE EQUIPMENT SUCH AS REACH-IN AND UNDER-COUNTER REFRIGERATORS;
3. AND AT A DISTANCE OF 75 CM (30 INCHES) ABOVE THE FLOOR IN AREAS USED FOR HANDWASHING, WAREWASHING, AND EQUIPMENT AND UTENSIL STORAGE, AND IN TOILET ROOMS.

1. Please provide calculations to show that the mechanical exhaust flow rates and the mechanical ventilating system for the building will maintain the building in an essentially neutral pressure. Reference: Section 501.4, IMC 2024.
2. Verify the construction of the existing wall behind the char broiler and griddle (Items # 16 and 17). Wood studs covered by gypsum board and a sheet of stainless steel are considered combustible construction by the IMC). Reference: Section 507.2.6, IMC 2024.

1. Comment: Please provide a detailed site plan which clearly shows where the proposed “bicycle rack” will be installed. If it is determined that the bicycle rack obstructs the minimum required width for pedestrian connectivity, a Development Package will be required.
