| 07/15/2025 | Commercial Mechanical Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | 1. The current mechanical specifications still refer to wall-mounted A/C units as well as cassette-mounted heat pumps. [Initial comment: Clarify the description of the indoor mechanical units. The mechanical specifications call for heat pumps with wall-mounted ductless indoor units but the mechanical plan shows AC with ceiling-mounted cassettes. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.] 2. The ventilation calculations appear to be based on 3 occupants not 10 and do not include ventilation for the corridor. [Initial comment: Show the ventilation calculations for the bedrooms and “other spaces” (e.g. corridors and common areas. Reference: Section 403.3.2, IMC 2018.] 3. A new COMcheck certificate has not been submitted. [Initial comment: The COMcheck Mechanical Compliance Certificate is based on a single package heat pump, not the proposed HVAC equipment. Provide a COMcheck Mechanical Compliance Certificate that is based on the proposed HVAC equipment. 4. Provide sealed drawings. 5. Detail 2/M2.0 does not apply to this activity. |
