Please show complete egress plan of the second floor, with the path of travel and exit distance, exit signs and emergency lighting locations. IBC 107.2.3 For example, would occupants in the existing portion of the house use the exterior stairway? If so, the door swing from the existing structure to the proposed remodeled area is swinging in the wrong direction. 2. Please amend plans to show minimum 42” high guard at new extended landing. IBC 1015.3 3. Please amend the plans to show the required emergency illumination at the exterior stairway and landing. For example, a photometric plan or other method of showing 1 footcandle of normal power illumination at the walking surface along the path(s) of exit discharge, while the building is occupied.
