01. COMMENT: Zoning has reviewed the building plans for compliance with development package (DP) TD-DEV-0226-00040 and although the plans appear to be in compliance, until the DP is approved by all review agencies Zoning cannot approve the building plan.

03/17/2026 Water - PDSD Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Plumbing Note 3D on sheet P-1 and the Plumbing Water Riser on sheet P-2 refer to a reduced pressure backflow preventer for the building being located inside of the building. In the City of Tucson, the installation of the reduced pressure assembly shall be, “…outside, above ground, as close as possible to the water meter or service connection as possible and on private property...” (see Tucson Water Standard Detail SD-1802. https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/living-and-working/parks-and-recreation/documents/sd-1802.pdf
2. The specified freeze-proof yard hydrant (Detail 4/P-1 and the Plumbing Water Riser on P-2) uses a below-grade stop-and-waste valve. This is prohibited unless an approved upstream backflow prevention device is used to protect the upstream potable water source and the downstream outlets are identified with signs that read, “Caution, Nonpotable water, Do Not Drink.” Reference: Sections 608.8 and 608.9, IPC 2018.
