Yes, separate building permits will be required. i. Please submit a building permit application for each dwelling unit. ii. Each dwelling unit may differ in area. 1. Different dwelling unit area sizes will require various CFM and BTUH. 2. Please ensure to submit Manual J’s that the HVAC model and size will be correct for the dwelling size. 3. Provide drawings as to where the equipment is being installed such as the following. a. Condenser and indoor unit if mini split is installed b. Where condensate drain routed to c. Provide GFCI & weatherproof receptacle at maximum 25 ft distance from unit on the same level. d. Install a weatherproof disconnect. E3901.12 e. Provide information on separate/dedicated circuit a.
