1. Please provide a complete description of the work involved with this permit. IBC 105.3
2. Please provide complete structural detailing and calculations for the proposed installation of wood headers within existing adobe masonry walls. The submittal shall include the following:
A. Structural Design and Analysis
Provide structural calculations prepared, signed, and sealed by an Arizona-licensed design professional demonstrating the adequacy of the proposed wood header(s) to support all applicable loads, including dead, live, roof, floor, and lateral loads in accordance with IBC Sections 1604 and 1605.
B. Moisture Protection
Provide detailing to protect wood members from moisture exposure and deterioration when in contact with adobe masonry, per IBC Section 2304.12. Please provide the ICC ES report for the bituminous parging and show the number on the plans.

04/23/2026 Commercial Mechanical Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project. Reference: Sections R302.2 and R403.7, IECC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson.
2. Show that the proposed single-phase packaged heat pumps, less than 65,000 BTU/H meets the minimum performance requirements set by the US Department of Energy Code of Federal Regulations DOE 10 CFR 430 for this geographical area (e.g., 13.4 SEER2, 6.7 HSPF2).
3. Provide a programmable thermostat for each air handler that complies with the requirements of Section R403.1.1, IECC 2018.
4. Provide mechanical ventilation for the building. Reference: Section R403.6, IECC 2018 and Section 403.3.2.1 (equation 4-9), IMC 2018.
5. Provide the specifications and air flowrate for the proposed bathroom exhaust fans. Reference: Section 403.3.2.3, IMC 2018.
6. Provide local exhaust for the kitchens. Reference: Section 403.3.2.3, IMC 2018.
7. Provide air return from the bedroom in addition to the air return from the living room. Reference: Section 601.5, IMC 2018.
