2. The minimum slope for a horizontal gravity drain, 2-1/2” or less in size, is ¼” per foot. Reference: Section704.1, IPC 2018.
3. Verify the size of the horizontal gravity drain based on the discharge flowrate of the pump ( 1 GPM = 2 drainage fixture units). Reference: Section 709.3 and Table 710.1 (1), IPC 2018.
4. Revise the sewer diagram to show how the pumper riser will connect to the horizontal gravity drain at the ceiling level through a wye fitting into the top of the horizontal gravity drain. Reference: Section 712.1 and 712.3.5, IPC 2018.
5. Provide a union, check valve and ball valve on the discharge of the pump per the manufacturer’s instructions. (The pump has a 1-1/2” discharge pipe.) Reference: Section 303.2 and 712.2, IPC 2018.
6. Provide a vent for the sump pump. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 901.1, IPC 2018.
7. Clarify how the horizontal gravity drain and its subsequent vertical stack will be connecting to the existing sanitary drain system. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
