To be classified as a Group M occupancy, the goods displayed must be accessible and available for purchase by the public on the premises. Generally, if patrons can view merchandise for sale, the merchandise is expected to be available for immediate purchase from on-site stock. If merchandise is displayed for viewing or ordering only and is not stocked on the premises, the occupancy classification of Group B should be considered instead. IBC Section 309.1 2. Please amend the ceiling plan to indicate the heights of each ceiling. IBC 107.2.1 3. Please amend Detail 3 on Sheet A7 to indicate the ceiling height and provide an additional elevation rotated 90 degrees showing how the partition walls are laterally braced at the top and connected to the trusses. Please also provide connection details for the bracing and truss attachments. IBC Section 107.2.14. 4. Please demonstrate how the HVLS fan will operate, as the interior partition walls appear to extend up to the ceiling and may conflict with the fan’s operation and required clearances. Please revise the plans to clarify the relationship between the fan, partition walls, and ceiling structure. IBC 107.2.1 Please contact me if you have any questions about the above comments.
