4. Please amend the plans to indicate the placement location for exits serving an accessible space, but not providing an approved accessible means of egress. Signage shall be provided in accordance with Section 1009.10. IBC 1111.2 For example, Exit #3.
5. Sheet A-111: Please amend the plans to include a maximum metal stud height table or otherwise indicate the interior walls and partitions that exceed 6 feet in height, including their finish materials, shall have adequate strength and stiffness to resist the loads to which they are subjected but not less than a horizontal load of 5 psf. IBC 1607.15
6. Please amend the plans to show the illumination provided for the means of egress, including the exit discharge per IBC 1008. Show compliance with the following:
A. The means of egress shall be illuminated at all times the building space is occupied.
B. The means of egress illumination level shall not be less than 1 foot-candle at the walking surface.
C. The means of egress illumination shall be supplied by backup power (consisting of storage batteries, unit equipment, or an on-site generator) for a duration of not less than 90 minutes. IBC 1008.3

1. Provide GFCI protection per NEC 210.8(B)(7) for all receptacles in the locker rooms. REF circuits LC-15 and LD-35.
2. Provide Fault Current Analysis and show new equipment AIC rating sufficient to withstand the calculated Fault Current. Provide Available Fault Current calculations from TEP transformers to all new equipment, 2017 NEC 110.24.
3. Show new Panel’s and other new equipment with AIC ratings greater than or equal to the Available Fault Currents calculated, 2017 NEC 110.10.

05/27/2025 Commercial Plumbing Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Verify that the specified sensor faucet for the restroom lavatories has an automatic time-out so that it will dispense a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the cycle will operate for at least 10-seconds for accessibility. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09.
2. Provide tempered water for the restroom lavatories using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 419.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018.
3. Provide shower valves that comply with the requirements of Section 412.3, IPC 2018.
4. Revise the installation of the thermal expansion tank to comply with the manufacturer’s listing requirements (i.e. on the cold water supply line, between the water heater and the backflow preventer or other one-way device). See also the installation manual for the Rennai Model TRW02STI Tankless Rack System. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 607.3, IPC 2018.
5. Provide a recirculation pump for each recirculation system.
6. Revise the connection of the hot water return piping to the cold water supply manifold. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2018.
7. Discharge piping shall serve a single T&P relief valve and shall not be combined with the discharge piping of any other T&P relief valve or other equipment. Reference: Section 504.6 (4), IPC 2018.
8. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018 (e.g., 24” for ½” hot water supply piping).
9. Clarify the gas service: Key note PG01 on sheet P202 calls for installation of a natural gas service but Sheet P101 calls out a propane gas pressure regulator. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.

1. REF Sheet E201, Lighting Plan Keyed Notes, L05: 1a : Modifications to the outdoor lighting require compliance with the Outdoor Lighting Code. 1b: New signs require a separate sign permit.

2. Provide an outdoor lighting plan that meets the requirements of OLC 104.2. Show/locate the different light sources on your site plan. Number the light fixtures on your table and use the same number on your site plan.
3. List the Lighting Area per OLC chapter 3 and used in Table 401.1. Specify the compliance option from Table 401.1 that is being used. Total outdoor light output shall not exceed the lumen limits listed in Table 401.1. 4.
4. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code with an approved lighting calculation in accordance with OLC 3.1.2. Include all exterior fixtures on the property in the calculations. List shielded and unshielded lights in the calculation. Show unshielded fixtures with a maximum of 3,000 lumens, OLC 401.4. Show lamps with a maximum of 3500K color temperature, OLC 402.1.
5. Fixtures installed under canopies and overhangs. Outdoor lighting fixtures shall not be counted in determining the total light output when they are full cutoff light fixtures installed under canopies, building overhangs, or roof eaves, OLC 401.2.1(3).

6. This site requires an Outdoor Lighting Special Inspection per 106.2.1. Provide a Special Inspection Certificate with parts A and B completed and sealed. Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2.
