Provide structural calculations and details to show that the Type I hood is supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.2.4, IMC 2018 (the hood hanging weight plus the weight of personnel working in or on the hood). Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2018. 3. Provide a roof plan to show the location of the exhaust fan for the proposed Type I hood as it relates to the existing mechanical equipment on the roof and building openings. Reference: Section 501.3.1, IMC 2018. 4. Verify that adequate general room exhaust is provided for cooking appliance that are not required to be located under a Type II hood. The minimum exhaust rate shall be 0.70 CFM per square foot, using a minimum area of 100 square feet for each individual appliance. Reference: Section 507.1, exception 2 and 507.3, IMC 2018. 5. Show that the heat and moisture loads from the proposed cooking appliances that are not located under a Type II hood are included in the HVAC load calculations for the space. Reference: Section 507.3, IMC 2018. 6. Verify that the hood canopy extends at least 6” horizontally on all open sides beyond the edge of the top horizontal surface of the appliances under the hood. Reference: Section 507.4.1, IMC 2018. 7. Provide structural calculations and details to show that the Type I hood is supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.2.4, IMC 2018 (the hood hanging weight plus the weight of personnel working in or on the hood). Verify that the installation of the hood , in addition to the existing roof-mounted equipment, does not exceed the structural capability of the roof. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2018. 8.
