The electrical engineer states that information about the existing meter socket is not available, and that because the City of Tucson has allowed the proposed replacement at other locations, the use of the proposed meter socket should be allowed. I make the following comment: This is an issue because I am responsible to review the application to ensure that any item that is to be replaced is indeed replaced "like for like." Although the City of Tucson may have allowed the proposed meter socket previously, according to the Settlement Agreement, the proposed socket cannot be more vigorous (longer life span) or has heftier specifications than the one being replaced, unless the item is no longer available. Square D makes a 100 amp meter socket. Perhaps Clear Channel has the specifications for the existing meter socket, or they can send out personnel who have access to the location to collect that information. The electrical service is on railroad property and is fenced off. I visited the location to observe the installation myself, in an attempt to expedite the review process, but I couldn't get passed the fence.
