This letter reflects comments to be addressed. PLEASE send all response to comments back to the City through the permit portal! Responses sent directly to Stantec will be ignored. Also, please submit complete copies of all permit documents (i.e. plans, calculations, reports, etc.) even if they have not been changed. Please cloud and delta all changes and provide a letter with a written response to each of the comments indicating the action taken. The scope of this review covers the architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical designs as they relate to the codes adopted by the jurisdiction. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. Please provide proof that this project has been submitted to the Pima County Health Department for permitting. Make sure to incorporate any of their comments into any future submittals. 2. Please provide City of Tucson special inspection certificate(s) with Parts A and B completed. Make sure that the owner or their legal representative signs the form. Sheet X1 1. All door located in rooms or spaces with an occupant load of 50 or more. The exit door in the dining room closest to the women’s bathroom must swing in the direction of egress travel. [IBC 2018 Sec.1010.1.2.1] STRUCTURAL COMMENTS Sheet S3.0 1. Detail 202 is missing the keynote description for Keynote 8. Please include in the detail. 2. Detail 202 Keynote 2 indicates that vertical reinforcing is per Detail 03 on Sheet S1.2. Detail 03 is for wood stud infill framing. The detail does not include vertical reinforcing for an existing masonry wall. Please clarify. MECHANICAL COMMENTS Sheet M2 1. The exhaust fan schedule is missing description for EF-1. Please revise. 2. The combustion hood schedule indicates mark CA-1 but Mark CA-1 is not located on the Mechanical Plan on Sheet M1. Please clarify. 3. Please provide a grease duct detail between the exhaust fan and the type 1 hood indicating compliance with the provisions of Section 506.3 of the 2018 International Mechanical Code. 4. Please provide an outdoor air balance schedule indicating all exhaust and replacement air for the facility, plus the net exfiltration, if applicable indicating the total replacement airflow rate is equal to the total exhaust rate plus the net exfiltration. [Ref. IMC 2018 Sec. 508.1.2] 5. Please provide a mechanical energy conservation compliance report for the proposed new mechanical units. [Ref. IECC 2018 C403] PLUMBING COMMENTS Sheet P3 1. Please provide water pressure calculations from the meter to the last remote fixture having the most demanding pressure. [Ref. IPC 2018 Sec. 604] 2. Please provide grease interceptor sizing calculations in accordance with Section 1003.3 of the International Plumbing Code as amended by the City of Tucson. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS There are no comments.
