When resubmitting, all plans must be included. 2 The documentation requested per the previous plan review intended to provide verification from the manufacturer that the service equipment is designed for bus extension is not convincing to the plan's examiner. The shipping label with the order # on it and the limited bus diagram shows no evidence that this equipment was designed for bus extending. Furthermore, the photograph of the bus ends shows only one predrilled hole for each bus at the corner of the bus. The bus should have 2 holes in order to provide equal surface contact pressure across the bus in order to provide efficient conductivity between the buses. Another consideration. Is the proposed scope of work is not to extend the bus, but to terminate parallel conductors to the bus ends. The method described per KEYNOTE #5 on plan sheet E1.0 for terminating new lugs will compromise the listing of the equipment, and therefore will require a third-party inspection by a NRTL agency and approval in order to re-certify the listing of the equipment.
