Please verify the following Outdoor Lighting Code Requirements and revise the site lighting plan as necessary to provide evidence on the lighting plans that the exterior lighting complies with all the requirements of the 2012 City of Tucson Outdoor lighting Code.

Provide plans and evidence on the plans that the proposed exterior lighting fully complies with the Outdoor Lighting Code. See section 104 for plan submittal requirements.

1. Provide site lighting plans with the following information on the plans;

(a) Provide a complete luminaire schedule.

(b) Full compliance with sections 104.2.1(1), (2), (3).

2 See table 401.1, Include parcel size, lighting area and option, and indicate this information in the lighting site plan.

3 402.1 (light source color temperature requirements, 3500K), shielding requirements, etc .

4 Provide calcs for total lumens allowed and total lumens proposed per acre for Full Cut Off and Unshielded per table 401.1.Must include existing to remain lighting.

5 Indicate whether or not a special inspection is required per sec. 104.2.2, and 106.2.

6 Specify any exceptions used.

7 Provide Curfew lighting controls If applicable Per section 403.

8 Provide complete compliance with the 2018 IECC for the interior and exterior lighting where applicable.

Do not confuse the Outdoor Lighting Code with the IECC.

9 Show designated branch circuits assigned for all lighting and exhaust fans in the lighting plan. NEC 408.4.

10 Verify that a GFI protected 120V receptacle is provided for Mechanical equipment maintenance where applicable per NEC art 210.63.

11 Provide a note on the power and lighting plans requiring wiring methods to comply with NEC art 511 for Commercial Garages..

05/03/2024 Commercial Plumbing REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018.
2. Clarify the design for the roof drainage. Key notes 06 and 07 call out a 6” x 8” primary scupper and a 6” x 12” overflow scupper respectively but the roof plan (01/A1.102) and the North Elevation (01/A2.101) show primary roof drains and no scuppers. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.

2. Sheet G0.001: Please amend plans as the FUNCTION OF SPACE LEGEND appears to indicate the entire area of level 1 is Accessory Storage areas, Mechanical Equipment room. IBC 107.2.1
3. Sheet G0.003: Please amend detail 09/G0.003 to indicate the thickness of the exterior CMU. IBC 107.2.1 and provide Structural design and calculations for exterior masonry wall as required by IBC 1403.4 and Chapter 21.
4. Sheet A4.102: Please amend plans to print supplemental ladder drawings and reference on plans and provide ES Report# for ladder system or provide Architectural and Structural drawings for the Alternating Tread Device, to provide dimensions, and to include tread depth and riser height. IBC 1011.14, Additionally, includes the connection details to the building framing and floor.

9. Calcs page #4: Please revise wind speed to 105 mph in the Structural drawings and Calculations to match the amended code requirements for Risk Category II. I have copied an excerpt of the amended code for your use. IBC 107.2.7
