This letter reflects comments to be addressed. Provide updated Plans/calculations and a written response Letter to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Resubmitted plans that do not contain a written response Letter addressing each of the notated items indicating action taken, may be delayed until response letter is received. Code reference, 2018 International Building Code (IBC), 2017 National Electrical Code (NEC). Notate the COT adopted code on the plan-set. 1. This is a commercial project, requiring all documents to be prepared, sealed, signed, and dated by a registered design professional. Provide complete electrical plans, design, and calculations, sealed by an Arizona Registrant. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304, 2018 IBC section 107.1, 2017 NEC, City of Tucson Commercial Plan Submittal Requirements. 2. Provide a Grounding Electrode System at the detached structure per NEC 690.47. Show the Grounding Conductor’s connection at the modules, mounting and metal support structure. These sheets need to be Sealed by the Electrical Engineer. 3. Show grounding details for the mounting equipment and metal support frame, NEC690.43. The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. COMMENTS: 1. Per aerial photograph, the existing steel canopy has been extended. Please submit the Structural Drawings and Calculations for the new portion of the steel canopy. Ensure that the submittals are sealed/signed/dated by the Arizona licensed structural engineer. 2. It is the responsibility of the applicant and their structural engineer to ensure that the following are met. Allowance shall be provided for equipment weighing a maximum of 4 psf, shall require a structural load analysis. Point loads not exceeding 45 lbs shall be provided a clear radius within which no other point load radiuses shall impinge. Uplift pressure calculation to comply to the 2018 International Building Code. Per UDC 3.3.3.G.2.c, a site plan (development package) is required for building or structure additions such as proposed. A development package that meets the Checklist for Minor Development Changes to Existing Commercial/Industrial Sites is required for this proposal: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/pdsd/documents/permits/minor_changes_to_commercial_industrial_sites_.pdf. The development package is a separate submittal and shall be applied for through the Tucson Development Center Online under application type “Development Package.” Zoning cannot approve TC-COM-0424-00599 until the submitted development package has been approved by all reviewers.
