The scope of this review covers the architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical designs as they relate to the codes adopted by the jurisdiction. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. Occupancy Group Construction Type Area (Square feet) Occupant Load Automatic Fire Sprinklers Fire Alarms B V-B 4,830 33 Yes Yes Separate Permits: Automatic fire sprinklers and fire alarm. Deferred Submittals: None. Special Inspections: None. ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS There are no comments. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS There are no comments. MECHANICAL COMMENTS Sheet M1 1. Transfer grilles are indicated above the ceiling in the head spa and nail/pedicure rooms. These spaces are subject to the ventilation requirements of IMC Table 403.3.1.1, Footnote b, which requires air to be exhausted directly to the outdoors and prohibits recirculation to other spaces. Transfer grilles allowing air movement into adjacent spaces or return plenums are not permitted. PLUMBING COMMENTS General 1. Please include in the Plumbing Legend & Symbols the “FM” drainage pipe from the ejector pumps. Sheet P1 1. The Waste Floor Plan does not indicate that the drainage of the pedicure baths will terminate with an air gap at an indirect waste receptor (floor sink or washer standpipe). Please revise. [Ref. 2024 IPC Sec. 423.3 as amended by City of Tucson] ELECTRICAL COMMENTS Sheet E-2 1. The electrical floor plan indicates all ejector pumps with 30A, 1-pole breakers (30/1), while the panel schedule identifies these same circuits as 20A, 1-pole breakers. Please clarify the correct overcurrent protection and revise the plans for consistency. Ensure conductor sizing and equipment ratings are coordinated with the final breaker size per NEC 240.4 and 310.16. Should you have any questions regarding the plan review comments, please contact the plan reviewer listed for the appropriate discipline.
