COMMENTS:
The City verified the configuration of this facility using previously approved building permit. Below are the result of our finding.
1. ADDRESS - The overall plan shows suite #102 and #103 as one tenant.
a. At the 2 front doors on the plan drawing indicates suite #102 and #103.
b. The building permit TC-COM-0226-00249 is using only suite #102 as the address. Hence, the tenant assigned suite #102 and #103 shall be using ONLY suite #102 as the address.
c. Please coordinate with Pima Addressing Department and inform them #103 is being abandoned.
d. Please withdraw this permit TC-COM-0326-00313.
2. LAB 3
a. The door leading to the space next door has been closed.
b. Add a note at that former door location indicating the removal of the door and indicate what materials are used to replace it.
c. A new Fume Hood has been added.
i. Please provide detail drawings illustrating how this is built and what equipment/components are included on this installation.
ii. Provide information and installation of the exhaust fan on the roof.
iii. Mechanical Engineer drawings shall be required with their seal/signature/date on the drawings. Ensure to address the make up air that is required to allow the Hood to function properly.
iv. Electrical Engineer drawings shall be required with their seal/signature/date on the drawings.
v. Provide the list of chemicals related to these hoods work as well as the quantity. In fact, please list every chemicals that are present in this facility and their quantities.
3. LAB 2
a. Counters and cabinets at 2 corners of the space have been removed. Add a note at those location regarding the removal and what are replacing them.
4. Office 3
a. The wall between office 3 and meeting room has been reconfigured.
b. The previous configuration shows the wall bumped out toward the meeting room along with office 3 door.
c. Show in dash line the former location of the wall and door and add a note that it has been demolished.
d. Most likely electrical work occurred as a result of the changes described above. Please address this with the Electrical drawings.
5. Provide the Code Analysis.
a. This will be necessary in order to be able to fill the Certificate of Occupancy document of which is being requested.
6. Per the International Building Code 2024, an Arizona licensed registrant shall generate the drawings as submission for the building permit application.
a. Please have an Architect generate the drawings along with his/her seal/signature/date on every Architectural sheets. Please do the same with the Mechanical, Electrical Engineers.
7. Please resubmit.

Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. 1. Searching old permit documents found an old floorplan for this space, units 103 & 102. There are a few changes that were noted. https://pro.tucsonaz.gov/permitdetails/T10OT01656/
a. There is a new FUME Hood added in what was previously labeled as ‘Lab 3’. This is next to unit 100.
b. The door between 102 and 100 was removed and filled in and this new FUME Hood was placed in this location.
c. The wall between the entry way meeting room of unit 103 and previously labeled ‘Office 3’ has been moved and reshaped.
2. These changes require updated electrical plans, prepared and sealed by an Arizona qualified Registrant.
