Sheet A05: At water closet, show the 60" W x 56" D clearance area on the floor per ANSI A117 Figure 604.3 Ensure no other fixtures are within this area. provide drawings illustrating the required ANSI A117 counter height and surface width for the reception with callout 1 and the counter with callout 2 7. Sheet A06: Submit a wall section drawing of the following: Tenant separation using fire partition with fire-resistance rating of not less than 1 hour per IBC 402.4.2.1 and IBC 708 extend from the top of the foundation or floor/ceiling assembly below to the underside of the floor or roof sheathing, deck or slab above shall have penetration complying to IBC 714 and joints complying with IBC 715 protected by an approved fire-resistant joint system to resist the passage of fire for a time period not less than the required fire-resistance rating of the wall, floor or roof in or between which the system is installed. 8. Revise the general notes on M01 by referring to the correct codes. 2. The Existing RTU Schedule, M01, shows two existing heat pumps. Is this correct? If so, show the location of the unused heat pump on the roof plan. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 3. Show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drains from the existing heat pump(s). Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson. 4. Footnote b on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 states that mechanical exhaust is required for the nail salon and no air from the nail salon may be recirculated to any other space. With a single heat pump serving the suite, the entire suite must be ventilated as a nail salon (i.e. include the reception, break, facial, and hallway areas as nail salon). Reference: Section 403.2.1 (3), IMC 2018. 5. Nail salons require a source-capture exhaust system for each manicure and pedicure station. The exhaust inlets shall be located a maximum of 12” horizontally and 12” vertically from the point of chemical application. Provide details showing how this is to be accomplished. Reference: Table 403.3.1.1, footnote h and Section 502.20, IMC 2018. 6. The occupant load used to calculate the required ventilation is not necessarily the same as the occupant load used for calculating exiting requirements. The occupant load used for calculating the minimum required ventilation is to be based on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 or an approved engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type. Pedicure chairs shall have hot water limited to a maximum temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit using a device conforming to ASSE 1070. Provide a detail of the specified pedicure chairs that shows that the installation complies with the requirements of Section 423.3, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson (e.g. backflow protection, drainage, etc.). 6. The developed length of the hot water supply piping appears to be greater than fifty feet; provide a method for maintaining the temperature of the hot water supply system. Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2018 and C404.5, IECC 2018. 7. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. 8. Provide automatic or manual controls for the circulating hot water system per Section C404.6, IECC 2018. 9. The scheduled clothes dryer on sheet M01 is natural gas-fired.
