Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2018. 2. Clarify the design of the hot water system. A note on the 2nd floor plumbing plan calls for both 140°F and 120°F hot water but detail 1/P3.0 only shows 125°F hot water being produced and the plumbing plans only show on hot water supply pipe. 3. Detail 2/P1.1 shows a 2” waste pipe discharging to a 2” vent. A plumbing vent may not be used for any purpose other than venting of the plumbing system. Reference: Section 901.4, IPC 2018. 4. Revise detail 2/P1.1 to provide a vent for the washer box, P-4, as shown in detail 2/P3.0. Reference: Section 901.4, IPC 2018. 5. It is not clear in the waste plumbing plan or in the waste isometric, but it appears that the fixture drain from the automatic clothes washer is connecting to a 2” fixture branch. The fixture drain serving an automatic clothes washer shall connect to a fixture branch that is at least 3 inches in diameter. Reference: Section 406.2, IPC 2018. |
