The use of this building appears to be Factory and not Storage as indicated in the Code Analysis Please revise. IBC 107,2,1 2. Please update all applicable areas of Code Analysis to the Occupancy classification of Factory F1 or F2. IBC 306.1 A. F1 if fabrication, finishing, manufacturing, packaging, assembly or processing of materials that are combustible or that use combustible products in the production process. B.F2 if for the purpose of fabrication, manufacturing or processing of noncombustible materials. It is acceptable for noncombustible products to be packaged in a combustible material, provided that the fuel load contributed by the packaging is negligible when compared to the amount of noncombustible product. 3. Related to the above, please recalculate the occupant load with any change of Occupancy Group. IBC 1004.1 Additionally, update the plumbing fixture requirements based on the new occupant load factor. IBC 2901.1 4. Provide illumination for the means of egress, including the exit discharge per IBC 1008. Show compliance with the following: A. The means of egress shall be illuminated at all times the building space is occupied. B. The means of egress illumination level shall not be less than 1 foot-candle at the walking surface. C. The means of egress illumination shall be supplied by backup power (consisting of storage batteries, unit equipment, or an on-site generator) for a duration of not less than 90 minutes. Amend plans to provide Outdoor air calculations in accordance with IMC Chapter 4, if occupant load has increased from previous occupancy.
