Provide additional documents as requested by review staff. STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Approved BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Add to the list of applicable codes on sheet T1.0 the 2018 International Fuel Gas Code and the City of Tucson/ Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code. 2. Update the clear floor space at water closets diagram on sheet T1.2 that shows the sink overlapping the required floor clear space for the toilet. A minimum of 60” wide by 56 “deep is required with no other fixtures shall be within the required clearance. ICC A117.1-2009 604.3.3. 3. It appears that the door to the janitor’s closet is being reversed to swing in to allow for the egress corridor clear width however the new in swing does not have the required 18” clearance on the latch side for accessibility. Modify the area to meet the requirements. ICC A117.1-2009 404.2.3.2. 4. Provide a dimension for the portion of the corridor by the bathroom doors, only a dimension for the portion of the corridor to the exit door can be found on sheet A1.0B. 5. Clarify on the drawings where the details are for the new rear stairway. The demo plan D1.0 keynote 20 indicates for the existing stair and landing to be removed and to coordinate with A1.0. Sheet A1.0B only shows the installation of the new door cover. MECHANICAL REVIEW COMMENTS: Denied 1. Provide a mechanical COMcheck or other approved methodology for the project for the new proposed units that is in compliance with the 2018 IECC, not just the IMC. ELECTRICAL REVIEW COMMENTS Denied 1. Provide an interior lighting COMcheck or other approved methodology for the project for the new proposed lighting that is in compliance with the 2018 IECC. 2. Provide an electrical power and lighting for the existing mezzanine, no lights were indicated on the reflected ceiling plan sheet A2.0B and no mezzanine plans were shown in the electrical sheets. Keynote 20 on Sheet D1.0 indicates that the existing exterior landing and stairs are to be removed. Sheet A.10B further indicates that a new exterior metal overhang is proposed. Per Tucson Unified Development Code (UDC) Section 3.3.3.G.2.c, a development package is required for a reconfiguration of an area outside of a building. The development package is a separate submittal and is required to meet the Checklist for Minor Development Changes to Existing Commercial/Industrial Sites: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/Minor_Changes_to_Commercial_Industrial_Sites_.pdf. A development package will ultimately not be required if the above changes are not proposed for this building permit.
