Numerous detached shade sails in the rear yard appear in aerial photography beginning in 2018. The Zoning Review Section was unable to determine whether a development package and building permits were submitted, reviewed, and approved for these detached shade sails. Per Tucson Unified Development Code (UDC) Section 3.3.3.G.2.c, a development package is required for building and structure additions on nonresidential development. The development package is a separate submittal and shall meet the Checklist for Minor Development Changes to Existing Commercial/Industrial Sites: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/Minor_Changes_to_Commercial_Industrial_Sites_.pdf. The development package shall be submitted, reviewed, and approved prior to Zoning approval of this permit. A development package will not be required if these detached shade sails are removed from the site.
