STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS:

1. Provide accurate information regarding Current Codes per International Building Code 2018. The information provided on Geotechnical Report is incorrect since State has adopted latest Codes. The Geo Report calls for IBC 2012 on Section Seismicity on page 8 of the report.
2. The Geotechnical Report submitted calls for Site Class C on page 10n Seismicity. The Structural Drawing S1.0, Seismic Loads, calls for Site Class D. Verify and make revisions as needed.
3. The Seismic Parameters S1 and Ss shown on Geotechnical Report page 8 does not match with Structural Calculations submitted (page 1) and Structural Drawing S1.0 (Seismic Loads). Verify and make revisions as needed.
Submit a response letter addressing these correction items and provide bubbles on the revisions to the drawings.

1. Sheet A1.0: Provide clarification on how the existing service bays and new service bays are separated from the existing Audi dealership. Are they part of the same building that is the Audi dealership and this is considered nonseparated/separated mix use or is a fire wall being used to create a new building in accordance with Section 503.1? If considered the same building please provide the existing area of the Audi dealership and provide allowable area calculation in relation to the entire structure to ensure maximum allowable areas are compliant. It appears that a fire wall is being used but it is not clear.
2. Sheet A1.0: If a fire wall is being used to create a new building in accordance with Section 503.1, the fire wall is not rated properly. Provide a properly rated fire wall in accordance with Section 706.4 and Table 706.4. Additionally, provide a section of the fire wall.
3. Sheet A2.0: Roof drainage sizing calculations have not been provided. Provide roof drain sizing calculations to the roof plan in accordance with Section IPC 1106.1 & 1106.2
4. Sheet A2.0: GPM discharge amounts have not been provided for the roof/drain overflows. Provide the roof/drain overflows in accordance with Section IPC 1106.2
