1. Previous comment not addressed. A reduced pressure backflow preventer is required in place of the double check valve backflow preventer shown. Please also revise the plans to reference Detail SD-1802 instead of Detail SD-1805. [Previous comment - Reduced pressure backflow prevention assemblies (instead of double check valve assemblies) are required to be installed directly after the water meter for buildings that have chemicals, cleaning agents, or other contaminants that may come in direct contact with water. Per Section 27-75 (a) (15) of Article V, a reduced pressure principle assembly (RPA) is required for any premises on which chemicals, oils, solvents, pesticides, disinfectants, cleaning agents, acids or other pollutants and/or contaminants are handled in a manner by which they may come in direct contact with water, or there is evidence of the potential to contact water.
