COMMENTS:
1. CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
a. Subdividing the existing space effectively invalidates the existing Certificate of Occupancy.
i. Since the title block of the drawing indicates suite 103, this building permit will be used for this suite.
1. The City is assuming that a new Certificate of Occupancy is sought for suite 103.
2. Please confirm.
ii. A separate Certificate of Occupancy is required for suite 105.
1. Is the C of O is sought for suite 105.
2. Please apply for a separate building permit.
2. NEW DEMISING WALL
a. Please provide demising wall detail drawing at the bottom/floor.
b. Please provide detail drawings at the top showing demising wall terminates at the bottom of the roof deck.
c. Please ensure to indicate type x gyp bd is used.
d. Please ensure that the 1 hour rated demising wall are also applied on the wall between restrooms. Please provide the wall detail drawing illustrating this.
3. WATER DISPENSER
a. Where the Building and Plumbing Codes require a drinking fountain, the City of Tucson will accept point of use water dispenser in lieu of the classically recognized drinking fountain.
b. The water dispenser must be listed and labeled in accordance with the Code.
c. The water dispenser must be connected to a permanent supply of potable water.
d. The water supply must be indicated on the plans and installed per code.
e. A clear floor space shall be provided for the cooler in compliance with chapter 6 of ICC A117.1.
f. A permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser shall be installed adjacent to the cooler with the dispensing end between 34" and 48" above finish floor and show the clear floor space complying to chapter 3 ICC A117.1 section 602.4.
4. PLUMBING DRAWINGS: The following plumbing fixtures are new. Please submit Plumbing sheet.
a. SERVICE SINK
i. The new service sink is showing on the Demolition Plan. Please remove it.
b. DRINKING FOUNTAIN
5. ENLARGED RESTROOM FLOOR PLAN
a. Clearance width around a water closet shall be 60 inches minimum in width, measured perpendicular from the sidewall per ICC A117.1 sec 604.3.1
b. 604.3.2 Clearance depth around the water closet shall be 56 inches minimum in depth, measured perpendicular from the rear wall.
c. 604.3.3 The clearance overlap around the water closet shall be permitted to overlap the water closet, associated grab bars, paper dispensers, sanitary napkin receptacles, coat hooks, shelves, accessible routes, clear floor space at other fixtures and the turning space. No other fixtures or obstructions shall be within the required water closet clearance. FIGURE 604.3
6. CASHIER: provide drawings illustrating the following
a. Electrical/Communication: please include the cash counter power requirement on the electrical drawing.
b. The tops of dining surfaces & work surfaces shall be 28 inches min & 34 inches max above the floor per ICC A117.1 sec 902.4.
c. Sec 306.3.3 Knee clearance shall be 11 inches min in depth at 9 inches above the floor, and 8 inches min in depth at 27 inches above the floor.
d. Sec 306.2.4 Additional toe clearance space extending greater than 6 inches beyond the available knee clearance at 9 inches above the floor.
e. Sec 306.3 Knee clearance shall be 30 inches min in width.
f. 904.3.2 Parallel approach, the counter surface 36 inches min length.
g. 904.3.3 Forward approach, the counter surface 30 inches min length.
7. Please provide the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient and U value information for the glass storefront eh doors.
8. SECURED FILE
a. The file is secured. It is very hard to work with. Please submit a file that we can easily work with and unsecured.
