COMMENTS:

1. Since the evaporative coolers are being replaced with heat pump units, please revise the plans to demonstrate compliance with the outdoor air ventilation and local exhaust requirements of Section 403.3.2 of the 2024 IMC. Clearly indicate how the proposed systems will meet the required ventilation and exhaust rates.

Also, a test and balance report is required to verify that the ventilation air flow rates comply with the code requirements.

2. Please provide heating/cooling load calculation for the building to justify the capacities of the units being installed (Sections C403.3.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2018). The efficiency rating of the replacement units will have to be equal to or exceed the minimum required by federal law for this geographic location.

3. Provide specifications for the proposed new A/C units and indicate their installation locations on the plans.
