Whether electrically operated or not, please provide drawings on the posts that is holding this gate upright to include the post and footing detail. i. If welding is used, specify it on the drawing. e. Should this gate be manually operated, specify on the drawings. i. QUESTION: Is this gate to be opened manually every time a car comes in or goes out? 2. KNOX BOX a. Should this gate be lockable, Please locate/label the location(s) of the knox box for Tucson Fire Department use. b. If gate lockable, please notate on the drawings. 3. Please resubmit. |

Franklin St. Tucson, AZ 85701 Wrought Iron Fence w/ Gabion Pilers (1st Review) TRANSMITTAL DATE: 3/5/2026 Comment: Please resubmit revised drawings along with a detailed response letter which states how all Zoning Review Section comments were addressed. This site is located in the O-3 zone (UDC 4.7.15). 1. Comment: Imagery and your comment response letter confirm this site has functioned as a law office for decades however will now serve as a “private residential venue”. Per UDC Article 3.3.3.G.2.c, a site plan (Development Package) is required for the following types of development: Existing development undergoing a change of use, building structure additions, and/or a reconfiguration of an area outside a building. A Development Package (DP) meeting the requirements of the Checklist for Minor Changes to Commercial/Industrial Sites is required to be submitted and approved. The DP is a separate submittal from the building plans. The checklist can be found at: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/sharedassets/public/v/1/pdsd/documents/permits/minor_changes_to_commercial_industrial_sites_.pdf. Site zoning is unable to approve this building permit until the DP has been approved by all reviewers. 2. Comment: As this site is located in an Archaeological Sensitivity Zone, Historic review and approval will be required prior to Site Zoning approval as well. 3. Comment: Additional comments may be forthcoming based on responses to zoning comments and plans submitted.
