1. Provide Electrical load calculations which demonstrate that the premises electrical system has load capacity to accommodate the EV charging load (Include the EV charger in the load calculations as a continuous use item). NEC 625.42.
2. Where subject to physical damage, conductors, raceways, equipment, and cables shall be protected. NEC 300.4 Protection Against Physical Damage, NEC110.27(B) Prevent Physical Damage. Verify EV charging equipment is protected from physical damage or provide tire stops or bollards or other means to protect from car impacts.
3. Provide disconnecting means at the location of the charging equipment, or provide a plaque installed on the charging equipment denoting the location of the disconnecting means, NEC 625.43.
4. Conductors labeled D1, D2 & D3 are undersized. OCPD(Breaker) for copper conductor may not exceed 15A for #14 AWG conductors as required by NEC 240.4(D)(small conductors). Provide minimum #12 AWG CU conductors for this circuit.
5. Update ‘Governing Codes’ to show the currently adopted codes. 2024 ICC and 2023 NEC.
