1. EGRESS PLAN
a. I notice that there is a demarcated, minimum 44-inch-wide aisle in the back area/stockroom which is allowed for Egress through intervening spaces per IBC 1016.2 Exception 2 Means of egress are not prohibited through stockrooms.
b. Please update your egress plan to show the path of travel that lead directly from the retail area to the exit without obstructions at the stockroom area.
c. Do add the same information at the point of exit as you already have on the other exits.
d. Please do add at each exit the total distance traveled from the start point to the exit.
2. BUILDING CODE SUMMARY
a. Please add the ICC A117.1 into your list of applicable codes.
i. Specifically ICC A117.1 - 2017 Accessible and Usable Building and Facilities
2. DRINKING FOUNTAIN
a. Please locate/label the drinking fountain on the Floor Plan.
b. Identify whether it a high and low configuration as required by ICC A117.1.
3. SERVICE SINK
a. Please locate/label the service sink on the Floor Plan.
b. I cannot find it on your plan.
i. It is required per IBC Table 2902.1 Minimum Number of Required Plumbing Fixtures.

COMMENTS:

1. Show that the walk-in cooler meets the construction requirements of Section C403.10.2, IECC 2018.
2. Show that the walk-in cooler and the walk-in freezer meet the efficiency requirements of Section C403.10.2.1, IECC 2018.
3. Provide information on the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan (i.e., how is the fan controlled?). Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2024.
4. Condensate drains shall be terminated at an approved disposal location (i.e. not onto the roof as stated in Keynote M01 on sheet M-101). Reference: Section 307.2.1.1, IMC 2024, as amended by the City of Tucson.
5. For the City of Tucson (Climate Zone 2B), the summer design conditions are a dry bulb temperature of 105 °F and a wet bulb temperature of 66 °F. Please update the HVAC Load Schedule Table accordingly. Reference: Table R302.1, IECC 2018.
5. Please provide the cooling capacity of the existing HVAC units to justify the proposed addition of the new RTU. Include all relevant information in the Package Rooftop Unit Schedule, including the sensible cooling capacity of the new RTU. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2024.

1. Detail D/A1.2 (mop sink and utility cabinet elevation) does not appear to be specified on the floor plan. Please specify where it’s located on the floor plan. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2024.
2. Specify how the drinking fountain connects to nearest CW line and drain line. Is it connected to the exiting lines from the previous water cooler? Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2024
3. Revise the Building Code Summary to include the adopted 2024 Fuel Gas Code and the 2018 Energy Conservation Code. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2024.
