1. Modifications to the kitchen and wall space requires a electrical floor plan showing the location and circuit designation of all new and modified electrical outlets.
2. Provide a complete electrical plan showing all the new work.
3. Designate the circuit number, that corresponds to the panel schedule, at the location of each new or modified light fixture, receptacle, appliance, and equipment disconnect switch, NEC arts;300 and 408.4.
4. Show all wiring methods in detail for all branch circuit wiring along with branch circuit and breaker panel designations and correlate with the panel schedules. NEC arts;300 and 408.4.
5. Show GFCI protected receptacle in the kitchen and bathroom, NEC 210.8(A).
6. Show receptacle outlets at wall spaces 2’ or more with no wall point (exclude door openings) more than 6’ from a receptacle outlet, NEC 210.52(A)(1). This may require a floor mounted receptacle outlet within 18” of the window wall, NEC 210.52(A)(3).
7. Show receptacle outlets at each kitchen counter space wider than 12” with no point along the wall line more than 24” from a receptacle outlet, NEC 210.52(C)(1). Show receptacles within 2’ of counter edges or corners and no more than 4’ apart.
8. Show two or more 2O AMP small appliance circuits at the kitchen countertop receptacle outlets; they may also serve the breakfast room and dining room, but not other locations, NEC 210.11(C)(1), NEC 210.52(B)(1), (B)(2) and NEC 210.52(C)(3). GFCI protected, NEC 210.8(A)(6).

03/06/2025 Commercial Mechanical Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Provide heating and cooling load calculations to justify the heating/cooling capacities of the specified HVAC unit. Reference: Sections R403 and R503.1.2, IECC 2018.
2. Show how the specified ductless air conditioner will be capable of maintaining a minimum temperature of 68F in all of the interior spaces intended for occupancy on a design heating day (32F). Reference: Sections 309.1 and 312.1, IMC 2018.
3. Show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drain from the HVAC unit. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2018 as amended by the City of Tucson.
4. Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation using Section 403.3.2.1, IMC 2018. Note that the minimum continuous and intermittent exhaust airflow rates for kitchens and bathrooms required by Section 403.3.2.3, IMC 2018 are still required.
5. Clarify the operation of the specified kitchen hood. Will the unit be set up for exhaust or recirculation? Reference: Sections 403.3.2.3 and 505.3, exception 1, IMC 2018.
6. Clarify the construction of the dryer vent. It is specified as being 4” in diameter but the mechanical plan shows a rectangular dryer vent. Reference: Section 504, IMC 2018.
7. Explain how exhaust for the bathroom can be optional. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
8. Secure the refrigerant circuit access ports of the condensing units to prevent unauthorized access. Reference: Section 1101.10, IMC 2018
03/06/2025 Commercial Plumbing Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT 1. Clarify the water service to the building. Is the building served by a single water meter, and if so, provide the size of the water meter serving this building, the serial number of the water meter, and the total water demand served by the water meter. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. Show how the drain and vent piping will be modified for the installation of the stacked washer and dryer. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2018.
3. Specify that all proposed plumbing fixtures shall be listed by a third-party certification agency as complying with the relevant standards. Reference: Section 303.4, IPC 2018.
4. The fixture drain serving an automatic clothes washer shall connect to a fixture branch that is at least 3 inches in diameter. Reference: Section 406.2, IPC 2018.
5. Provide shower valves that comply with the requirements of Section 412.3, IPC 2018.
