Show that the proposed replacement rooftop units meet the requirements of Sections C403.3, C403.4, and C403.5 (e.g. provide the mechanical compliance certification from COMcheck). Reference: Section C501.4, International Energy Conservation Code 2018. 4. Verify that the parapet height within ten feet of rooftop units RTU-1 and RTU-4 are at least 42” above the walking surface of the roof or provide guards for the units per Section 304.11, IMC 2018. 5. Condensate drains shall be terminated at an approved disposal location. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson. 6. Provide calculations to verify that adequate ventilation will be provided for the occupied spaces. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018. 7. Revise the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fans so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted (i.e. all of the air supplied to each restroom is to be exhausted during the hours of operation even if the lights are off). The exhausted air from the restrooms shall be limited to no more than 10% of any subsequent supply air stream. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018. 8. Provide signage indicating the total equivalent length of the concealed dryer exhaust duct. Reference: Section 504.8.4.2, IMC 2018. 9. Revise the mechanical design for RTU-1, RTU-2, and RTU-3 as required to avoid using the corridors as return air ducts. Reference: Section 601.2, IMC 2018. 10. Provide smoke detectors in the return air duct, upstream of any outside air connections, for all air distribution systems moving than 2,000 CFM (i.e. RTU-3 and RTU-4). The use of a point-of-use water dispenser in lieu of a drinking fountain requires the installation of a listed and labeled water dispenser along with a permanently mounted disposable cup dispenser. The cup dispenser shall be located adjacent to the water dispenser with the dispensing end between 34” and 48” above the finished floor. 8. Revise the water heater detail (1/P-0) to include the hot water recirculation system. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 9. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. |
