Electrical Review of Starbucks
By: Ron Ross PE
E103 POWER PLAN DETAILS: Comment only, Keynote 9 comments concerning voltage requirements should not be needed. Panel/source voltage is 208V which is between 198-218 volts.

E601 ELECTRICAL SCHEDULES:

The Fault Current Notes declaration is unacceptable per Tucson city requirements.
Engineer shall derive estimated fault current from the local power company’s website that lists maximum fault current availability based upon the size of transformer feeding site power.

Then use this Maximum Fault rating at the location of Keynote 1 (on sheet E501). Next, calculate the short circuit value for Panel MP using the length of cable called out by Keynote 6. If Panel MP2 is next to MP1, it can use the same short circuit
value to determine both panels fully rated KAIC requirements.

If the engineer wishes to retain and use a 65/10 KAIC system, engineer shall call out the Main distribution board, main circuit breaker, feeder circuit breaker, and then specify Panels MP1 and MP2 that will maintain the 65/10 KAIC series rating required so that the reviewer can confirm 65/10 KAIC compliance.
