The submitted documents were incomplete and a thorough plan review could not be performed. Please be aware, new comments may arise with the next review. COMMENTS: 1. A new Certificate of Occupancy will be generated for this reconfigured tenant space. Please respond to the following and correct your drawings to reflect your response. 2. Egress through intervening spaces. IBC 1016.2 a. 2.Means of egress are not prohibited through stockrooms in Group M occupancies where all of the following are met: b. 2.1.The stock is of the same hazard classification as that found in the main retail area. c. 2.2.Not more than 50 percent of the exit access is through the stockroom. d. 2.3.The stockroom is not subject to locking from the egress side. e. 2.4.There is a demarcated, minimum 44-inch-wide aisle defined by full- or partial-height fixed walls or similar construction that will maintain the required width and lead directly from the retail area to the exit without obstructions. i. Please clearly show the storage racks/shelves & the demarcated aisle with dimension. 3. Locate and clearly label the service sink location per IBC TABLE 2902.1 MINIMUM NUMBER OF REQUIRED PLUMBING FIXTURES 4. Locate and clearly label the drinking fountain location per IBC TABLE 2902.1 MINIMUM NUMBER OF REQUIRED PLUMBING FIXTURES a. Per IPC 410.3 High and low drinking fountains. b. Where drinking fountains are required, not fewer than two drinking fountains shall be provided. One drinking fountain shall comply with the requirements for people who use a wheelchair and one drinking fountain shall comply with the requirements for standing persons. 5. Locate and clearly label the lighted exit sign(s), emergency light(s) with battery backup complying to IBC 1008 MEANS OF EGRESS ILLUMINATION. 6. Please locate and clearly label the fire extinguisher as well. 7. Locate and label the register counter. Counters, tables and work surfaces are to comply with IBC 1109.11. a. A portion of the counter for standing persons need to be lowered to an accessible height. Ensure to comply to ICC ANSI A117.1 section 904 as well. Illustrate this in your drawings along with the required electrical requirement. 8. The previous Certificate of Occupancy document shows IIB as the construction type (you show IIA within your Code Analysis). Please verify and confirm. Correct as necessary please. 9.
