1. Please amend the plans to demonstrate that not less than 5% of each type of seating and standing spaces are accessible/ IBC 1110.14
2. IEBC 306.7 requires that accessibility be provided to the altered spaces. Where the existing path of travel elements, which entails a primary entrance, a primary path of travel, sanitary facilities serving the area, a drinking fountain, and signs. If these items are in full compliance with the current code, provide a statement indicating this on the cover sheet of the drawings. Otherwise, accessibility upgrades shall be required in accordance with IEBC.305.7. 1. If the cost of providing or upgrading the items above to be accessible is disproportionate to the cost of construction (exceeds 20% of the cost of construction not including accessibility upgrades), please provide information to verify construction costs.

COMMENTS:

1. Floor sinks located within the kitchen area shall discharge through a grease interceptor. Note 3 on Sheet P201 states sinks are to be routed to a grease trap and then routed to the floor sink. Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2024, as amended by the City of Tucson.
2. Verify if an existing grease interceptor is currently in place to prevent the discharge of fats, oil, and grease into the public sewer. Reference: Section 1003.1, IPC 2024.
3. Please provide an equipment schedule identifying new and existing equipment. The schedule shall coordinate with the equipment item numbers referenced in the sheet notes on the plumbing drawings. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2024.
