02/05/2026 Commercial Building Standard REQUIRES RESUBMIT Please submit your revised documents and provide a letter with a written response letter addressing each of the comments indicating how the Plan Review comments were resolved.
1. Clarify: While the plans identify areas that may have been damaged, the construction documents must clearly and definitively indicate the full scope of damage and the required repairs necessary to bring all affected areas into code compliance. IBC Section 107.2.1.

2. Please revise the plans to specifically identify each damaged component and the corresponding repair. For example, indicate whether repairs are proposed as like-for-like replacement of materials such as gypsum board, stucco, etc., or if alternative materials or methods are proposed.

In addition, clearly indicate on the plans whether other building components were affected, including but not limited to structural framing, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. If these systems were not damaged, please explicitly note “no damage” on the plans. If damage is present, identify the extent of the damage, the required repair, and the method of repair (e.g., like-for-like replacement or specified replacement).

4. Plans should indicate the governing Building Codes applicable to this repair. IBC 107.2.1 For example,
2024 International Building Code (IBC)
2024 International Existing Building Code (IEBC)
2024 International Mechanical Code (IMC)
2024 International Plumbing Code (IPC)
2023 National Electrical Code (NEC)
2024 International Fire Code (IFC)
2024 International Fuel Gas (IFGC)
Local Amendments to Above Codes ( www.tucsonaz.gov/pdsd/building-codes )
