COMMENTS:

1. Hood canopies shall extend at least 6” horizontally on all open sides beyond the edge of the top horizontal surface of the appliances (i.e. the pizza ovens) under the hood. Reference: Section 507.1.6.1, IMC 2024.
2. Revise detail A1/M501 to show how the new Type I hood is supported from the building structure. Reference: Sections 302.1 and 507.2.4, IMC 2024.
3. The mechanical plan, M102, shows two high velocity diffusers located in close proximity to the ends of the Type I hood. Verify that the location and type of air outlets complies with the hood manufacturer’s installation instructions and does not reduce the effectiveness of the exhaust system. Reference: Sections 304.1 and 508.1, IMC 2024.

Summary: Includes reorganization of existing kitchen equipment and addition of new fryer units. The existing type 1 hood and wrapped ducts will be replaced with Type 1 new equipment. Rooftop equipment will remain existing.

Site Engineering comments are as follows:

1. This property lies within a recognized floodplain, Alamo Wash. Please apply for a floodplain use (FPU) permit in “Sub-Records” of permit TC-COM-0126-00022 on TDC-Online.tucsonaz.gov. Please upload a pdf of the site plan.
2. Please include a cost estimate breakdown of the project into separate lines, labor, materials/equipment, and warranties/fees associated with the project. Include the company/contractor’s letterhead on the document. This cost estimate will be used for substantial improvement calculations.

Instructions:

1) Navigate into the current project in the “My Work” tab. Within the permit, navigate to the “Sub-Records” tab and click “Apply” on the Floodplain Use Permit Sub-Record
2) Locations -> Confirm the location for the project is accurate. Click “Next”
3) Type -> Fill in the “Square Feet” and “Valuation” boxes with the project area and a contractor-provided cost estimate (See note above: for new structures, input 0). Click “Next”
4) Contacts -> Confirm contacts and add any additional contacts if applicable. Click “Next”
5) Attachments -> Please attach the project plan and supporting documentation for the cost estimate. Click “Next”
6) Signature -> Read the statement and type your name. Sign your name below (You may Enable Type Signature to have the software sign for you.) Click “Next”
7) Review and Submit -> Review all information to ensure accuracy. Click “Submit”
